The Compassion and Hope House was founded in 2018 as a resource center within the Newberry community and surrounding areas. Located in the former Church of the Nazarene building at 31 W. 5th avenue, across the corner from the Newberry Cafe -- the Compassion and Hope House is an ideal center for training, Bible studies, group meetings, community events as well as private counseling.

The Compassion and Hope House is staffing up with resource personnel trained in "Celebrate Recovery", Bible studies, computer/smartphone/Internet training and other skills.

The Compassion and Hope House is a ministry of the Church of the Nazarene. Newberry is located within the South West Indiana District (SWID) which is headed up District Superintendent Timothy Crump. Tim's office is located in Bedford, IN. The center is also accountable to the SWID District Advisory Board (DAB). This structure of leadership and accountability as well as the local Compassion and Hope House board of Directors assure a high level of professional service and integrity.
